DAY 103 OF MY PHOTO CHALLENGE...
As a small child I loved to feed the fish in my great grandfathers fish pond... lilies remind me of him and those childhood memories. I decided to add this picture to my photo challenge because i love how brilliant the contrasts are between the lily and the green of the leaves... did you know the bottoms of the lily pads are all covered in thousands of thorn like prickles? My toddler really liked seeing the massive pond and I had to hold him so that he wouldn't go swimming with the fish... oh what a sight that would have been....
DAY 102 OF MY PHOTO CHALLENGE...
Anyone for a walk in the park? This archway catches the eye with it's leading lines and sunlight ending... it was a picture perfect day in the park for a picnic...f/4,exp time 1/60, ISO 200, max aperture 3,6...
DAY 101 OF MY PHOTO CHALLENGE...
I love nature and am always amazed by birds, this gull was riding the wind which allowed me to get a really good shot - f/11, Exp time 1/500sec, ISO 100 - Imagine the freedom of flight
DAY 100 OF MY PHOTO CHALLENGE...
WOW! DAY 100!
I have decided to post more then one photo today, please take the time to look through our day out
During the school holidays my family and I went on the Steam Ranger, it was a wonderful experience to go out for a trip on this vintage steam train, My toddler loves trains and it was very exciting for him, watching his face aglow with absolute joy was awesome...
I decided as it is the 100th day I would post a few photos of our day out.... enjoy the experience with us.
At the station awaiting the arrival of the train. using leading lines to enhance my shot, I love the way they set up the station, it was wonderful look into yesteryear....
My sons were enjoying the props and were really getting into the spirit of the day, the train was delayed and so we used the extra time to capture the moment, I took a heap of photos, hard to choose the ones to post, if I posted them all we'd be here all day.
This photo was taken by my teenage son - lovely use of the rule of thirds...
Along the way we saw lots of wonderful thing out of the window - here is my toddler looking at the waves crashing onto the beach.
My teen at the station awaiting the train. even he is having a great day!
I got a little sun glare but I love this shot - hope you enjoyed seeing our family day out on the historical steam ranger
