DAY 114 OF MY 365 DAY PHOTO CHALLENGE...

The Chinese lantern festival is coming up soon and these boats are the first of many to come and grace our river Torrens which flows through the heart of Adelaide... Not sure if this fits into the weekly theme of minimalism but  when i look at this photo I feel gracefulness and serenity. moon light escapes on warm summer nights.

DAY 113 OF MY 365 DAY PHOTO CHALLENGE...

                 --  MINIMALISM --

The challenge of the week is to explore minimalism... so expect to see a few over the next few posts... this bee mid flight hovering over a purple flower was a wonderful contrast to the green back ground... together they create a minimalistic appearance.

DAY 112 OF MY 365 DAY PHOTO CHALLENGE...

This lovely plant not only has an amazing smell but it's pretty pink and purple flowers attract one of my favorite insects.... Bees... and while they are out in their droves i am enjoying capturing their day to day business with my Nikon. The rain had no sooner stopped for the afternoon and these busy little workes were out and about... Bees are amazing and I encourage them to frequent my garden... more bees = more flowers and more fruit and vegies for us to enjoy...

DAY 111 OF MY 365 DAY PHOTO CHALLENGE...

I know Spring is in the air when all the various bulbs start to flower.... the lily is so graceful and is such a wonderful contrast to it's foliage. I particularly like this shot because of the bird bath lingering in the background. The white flower stands out wonderfully.
